Lauren D Bellagamba, CYT, TIYT

Lauren is a staff yoga therapist at Move Therapy and Wellness

and is a Certified Yoga Teacher and Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist.  

Lauren first practiced yoga solely as a physical outlet because of an

injured knee. However, after her father passed away, yoga became more

than just the physical. Lauren began to incorporate meditation and

different breathing techniques into her practice.  Slowly her practice

evolved and became a healing source for her own body, mind and spirit.

Yoga offers amazing physical benefits, and will enhance and broaden all aspects of your life. Through the study of yoga, you can become a more calm, peaceful, and insightful person. Yoga provides you with tools to reduce, and the skills to handle, the stress and anxiety that arise in life. Lauren believes the study of yoga will provide you with a strong and healthy body, mind and spirit. Through the practice of yoga, one can become a happier and more content person.

Lauren collaborates with psychotherapists to create classes that, through alignment, breath and meditation, focus on mindfulness, self-discovery, self-care, inner wisdom, connectedness, self-love and empowerment.

Lauren Mitchell, B.B.A.

Lauren is the founder of Lauren in Balance, a food and wellness blog that promotes a balanced, sustainable and flexible approach to healthy eating and living.  She believes that life is for living, not restricting.  Through her love of cooking, her mission is to inspire others to get in the kitchen, by teaching them that you can cook with simple, whole ingredients, and still achieve big, bold flavor.  

 
 
 

Lauren is also a part-time Pilates instructor at Flex Pilates Chicago.  After experiencing the transformation Pilates brought to her own body, strengthening both physically and mentally (and how it connected the two), she choose to become and instructor as a way of spreading this passion to others.  She has been a Pilates student since 2010, and an Instructor since 2014, and supplements Pilates with an avid yoga practice.

Previously, Lauren worked in Commercial Real Estate Finance for 12 years, which she recently left to pursue her passions of food and photography full-time.  She holds a B.B.A. from Ohio University in both Finance and Business Economics.
