Thank You!

Caroline S.

My experience with Stephanie at Move has been so helpful and enlightening.

She has given me so much grace and patience, and a safe place to discuss whatever thoughts and feels come up during sessions. She has provided me with tools to address problems related to anxiety, relationships, self esteem and more! I cannot recommend this practice enough, and I am looking forward to continuing to grow as I work with the amazing Move team!

Rebecca

I couldn't be more grateful for Madison's caring expertise in my life.

She has guided me through one of the hardest years as an Educator and has given me effective tools to help me through burnout in my career and rediscover my passions in my life. Move Therapy was so helpful working with my schedule and quickly matching me with the right therapist after I reached out to them. I highly recommend Madison and Move Therapy for anyone seeking help!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect from my first session?

In your first session, your therapist will get a detailed overview of your personal history, your past and present mental health struggles, and any goals you might have for your sessions. From there, we’ll work together to devise a holistic treatment plan to help you grow, connect, and strengthen your inner self.

How long will treatment last?

There’s no “right” length for treatment, but we prioritize a long-term approach and building lasting relationships with our clients. Mental healthcare isn’t a quick-fix, and we don’t treat it as such. However, we do offer some shorter solutions-focused programs for those wishing to address short term goal setting, career changes, life transitions and some relationship concerns.

How long is each session?

Sessions last either 45 minutes or 55 minutes depending on your preference, therapy goals and financial needs.

Are sessions virtual or in-person?

You have the choice to conduct sessions in person or virtually; however, please note that you must be a resident of Illinois to join Move Therapy and Wellness as a client.

Does my insurance cover psychotherapy with Move Therapy and Wellness?

At this time, our accepted insurance plans include Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Choice, and United Healthcare/Optum and United Healthcare Affiliates (limited availability)

  • If you have Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO /Choice or UHC plan you will receive the maximum benefit for almost all services in our office. Your copay, deductible and/or co-insurance may apply to services. We recommend that you reach out to your insurance company prior to scheduling. We can also check benefits for you. If you would like us to assist you in checking your benefits please have your insurance ID and DOB available and click here.
  • If you have an out of network insurance carrier, you may be able to get some or all of your sessions covered through reimbursement. To find out if you have out of network benefits: Call the number on the back of your insurance card for member services. Ask about out of network coverage for outpatient mental health. You’ll want to know what percentage of services are covered, if you have to meet a deductible first and where you should send superbills (fax, email or P.O. Box).
  • Certain services are not covered by insurance, including: late cancellation/missed session fees, between session check-in calls, reiki, daily group yoga classes, yoga therapy, and small group yoga classes or workshops. Your HSA may cover some or all of your fees for small group yoga classes or workshops; please reach out to your provider for more details.

How much does a single session cost?

Please note that cost per session depends on your specific insurance coverage. For specific questions related to your insurance and billing, please reach out to our team. Out of pocket rates:

  • Individual Psychotherapy Session (55 Minutes) – $160 (Covered by BCBS PPO, Choice, United Healthcare plans)
  • Individual Psychotherapy Session (45 Minutes) – $140 (Covered by BCBS PPO, Choice and United Healthcare plans)

If I start therapy with Move, do I have to go to your yoga classes too?

We understand that some people might be excited by the idea of integrating yoga into their mental health counseling, while others might be intimidated. We’ll incorporate as little or as much yoga as you want into your mental health treatment plan – but we think our classes will enhance any mental health practice you’re currently doing.

Do I have to do yoga as part of my psychotherapy with Move?
